Katekyo Hitman Reborn Challenge Day 8: Favorite Fight

Before I start with this post..........I want to say that we sent our first Congo Bracelets yesterday!! Its so exciting!!!! We sent two to the U.S and one to the United Kingdom. No idea what I'm talking about? Well, at school, I had to do a Social Activism project for Social class. We did the project on the Congo. My group is called Studentsforthecongo and it consists of five people including me. Our goal was to raise awarness about the problem about the Congo and gain tons of views on our blog. Out of everybody in my group, I probably posted the most! Did you know that the Congo has millions of people dying just to get the minerals for your laptop or cellphone into your hands?

I have made blog that is dedicated to the Congo. Please read it! :) It has tons of information!! Also, my group is sending out free Congo Bracelets. If you want to help spread the word, just email your mailing address to my groups (studentsforthecongo) email. Don't worry, we won't stalk you! We just want to send the bracelet to you plus a Thank you card. It was really fun making them! :D We finally made a logo and everything! Since its summer break, it was only me, Jen and Amy making them! We signed them but it felt funny without the other two members with us. :(

If you still aren't sure, just read my post about the bracelets on our site! Please, you will be helping someone out in the Congo.

Now, back to the subject!

Hmmmmmmmmm................I don't know! I love watching all the fights of Katekyo Hitman Reborn because they are always epic! :) I can't choose!!! Wait.............I love the fights in the Curse of the Rainbow Arc and the Inheritance Ceremony Arc. They are utterly interesting! The Inheritance Ceremony Arc makes me so happy because Tsuna has a buddy to relate too. Enma is pretty hot. The final battle was epic! I loved how Enma and Tsuna teamed up with each other and combined powers. It was so cool~!

The Curse of the Rainbow Arc.......reveals so much about the Arcobaleno. This arc is probably the current arc in the manga and it is still ongoing.

Last Day! Yaoi Challenge Day 30: A yaoi you will always love

Wow.....I can't believe I made it through! I know I'm.....two days late but Yay!! You know what else? School is ending!! Yay!!!!! My last day of school is technically.........today. My goodness, then its exams! I'm exempting French and Social. Sigh.......I'm really tempted to write the Social exam because it seems easy. My Social teacher this year was just amazing. I remember every single thing we have learned.

(Manga: Karneval. Scroll down for a manga recommendation! The art is amazing!! Just so you know, the manga is not a yaoi for you yaoi haters. Read the manga if you love Shonen!)

Wait, scratch that, I remember bits and peices. I'd say, she is a better Social teacher from what I had from last year. I love her!! You should check my other blog for Social. It's called, Students for the Congo. Don't worry, its not boring! In fact, its really interesting and is written by yours truely, Chibiko and Jen from the blog, Inside my Head. We are both classmates! :D

Jen and my classmates at the Art walk and spreading the word! :D

Since school has ended (I still have exams!), our projects about the Congo has closed for the summer. Being the person I am, I decided to keep the blog going! Please support the people of the Congo by spreading the word!

Anyways, a yaoi I will always love is, Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi! I always will! I even read through and watched every single episode 5 times! I love other yaoi's but I'm pretty sure I haven't read them as much as Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi. I just love it too much. Je l'aime beaucoup! Haha! Just so you know, that was French for, "I love it too much".

The only thing I hate about Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi is the slow chapters!! Its killing me here!! I hate it!!!! Stupid chapters.....please come out faster!

Here is the proof I passed!! The 30 Day Yaoi Challenge~!! Feel free to click on the links!

There is going to be an anime!! WHOO HOO! I love this manga so much! Karneval totally deserves an anime! I'm using the same picture again because I feel lazy! Plus, the art is utterly breath taking!

Title: Karneval, カーニヴァル, K∀RNEVAL
Author: Touya Mikanagi
Genres: Action, Shojo (or Shonen), Comedy, Fantasy, Adventure
Reading Direction: Right to Left
Age Rating: 13+ Teen
Status: Ongoing

Summary: (Wiki) Nai searches for someone important to him, with only an abandoned bracelet as a clue. Gareki steals and pick-pockets to get by from day to day. The two meet in a strange mansion where they are set-up, and soon become wanted criminals by military security operatives. When Nai and Gareki find themselves desperate in a hopeless predicament, they encounter none other than the country's most powerful defense organization, "Circus".

The storyline made me think that Karneval was a shonen but its not. Its very interesting how manga's are put under such genres. Sometimes I don't get it.

Anyways, the storyline is just downright refreshing, amazing, original and funny! The art is so beautiful and flows gracefully on the pages. Man, if only I can draw like that! Karneval just inspired me to draw the style! Sometimes the art would bother me because the eyes are piercing and it looks life like........its cool!

Banana Life!

I felt like posting my banana life assignment for social class. I still have to draw out my banana poster. I love my social studies class! On Friday, we had banana splits. Being me, I have never had a banana split in my life! Don't judge me!! Mrs. Shepherd and my classmate Andrew worked at Dairy Queen and made the most amazing banana splits ever! Mrs. Shepherd was so cool! My stomach was really hurting from.....*ahem* my time of month *ahem* and I only wanted ice cream. She actually put three banana's in my ice cream and it actually tasted good.

So here is my banana lived! If you have time, read it! I'm pretty sure this is the most randomest thing I've ever posted in my entire life but anyways, I think it may have something to do with Yaoi.....haha!

My life flashed before my eyes when I was practically eaten by a kid. Thankfully, his mom called him to clean his room so he left me in the kitchen, peeled and naked, to think about my life again. It felt so short.

I’m proud to say that I was born in Costa Rica as a Del Monte banana. I lived with my family on a banana plantation as a happy banana. At times it would be confusing because we all looked the same. It was really depressing when my cousin who was on the other tree, tried to have babies with his girlfriend but couldn’t. We are just clones. It’s depressing, he told me.
My tree, or grass if you want to be technical, was usually left alone. At times the workers would come by and check on us.

One day, a man came and put this blue bag that smelled funny around us. It felt very suffocating. I heard the man say the bag was full of pesticides. The pesticides would keep the bugs and diseases from eating us. How nice of them.

That same day, a big bird made out of rock flew over us and peed pesticides on us. It felt disgusting. I recall that bird is called an airplane. I don’t understand humans.

It felt like years being caged in the blue bag until one day the same man freed us from the bag to measure our size. He said to his fellow worker that we are ready to be harvested. I thought to myself, where are we going? What is harvesting??

I found out the answer when this big hand started to put this film that separated my family. Then suddenly, I felt a sudden jerk up and we were being lifted by another man. I began to scream when his friend took a big knife and cut us off from our home.

This man carried us to a pulley system where it took us to a packing house. A woman sprayed us with water to wash us. Then one by one, we were taken and separated to be dunked in more water or pesticides.

I was then tagged by this fat lady and put into a box full of banana’s I haven’t met before. I turned green. I didn’t know where we were going. It’s very dark.
I socialized with other banana’s and heard their stories to make myself better. They either came from the same plantation as me or somewhere near the plantation. I met this one banana who was very smart. He had a girlfriend but was separated from her because the humans had other plans.

I felt the box move and we were packed into a truck. The truck transported us to a boat. I didn’t even know how long we stayed on that boat. It was awfully boring but my new banana friends kept telling jokes to entertain each other.
I soon heard voices in the room and the humans unloaded us. The next thing I knew, my box is another storage room but it felt a bit different. My smart banana friend read the signs outside the box and we were being sprayed with ethoneal gas to ripen us slowly. He wouldn’t tell me what would happen when we were ripened so I guess I have to wait.

Days passed and our box was opened. I saw my fellow banana’s and they were yellow. Hands were all over me and I was displayed on a shelf for other humans to see. I haven’t seen so many humans at once.

It wasn’t long until a hand took me and placed me in a bag. Where is she taking me?

I was soon in a home where the lady put me on the counter. It didn’t take to long until her son came along and started to unpeel me.

Oh no. I'm being raped! I screamed but he didn’t hear me. And here I am. Thinking about my life.

My flash back was ended when he came back, picked me up and slowly ate me. I blacked out. At least, I went to banana heaven.

Be aware of the Congo!

Hey guys! This week is project week at my school! Project week is a torturous week where blocks of our subjects are 3 hours long! So far, I've had 3 hours of Social class (it wasn't so bad!) and CALM class (was ok) on Monday. Today I had 3 hours of Gym (we went "camping") and 3 hours of Social again which was pretty fun. Tomorrow I get 3 hours of French (yay!) and Math (urgh).

Kambale Musavuli

Ok, in Social class, we talked to this guy named Kambale Musavali from the Congo on Skype! Man, it was sooo extremely cool! I felt like I was talking to a celebrity! Kambale is a human rights activist, Student Coordinator and National Spokesperson for the Friends of the Congo. He tries to spread the word of what's going on in the Congo right now.

Alright, why were we talking to this man? Well, in Social, we are studying the Congo. The Congo is located in the heart of Africa. The capital of the Congo is Kinshasa and one major langauge is French. It is known for the many minerals/resources that get extracted from there. Diamonds, Gold, Copper, Tin......you name it! You can find it in the Congo. Did you know, minerals in your cellphones, phones, laptops and computers are all from the Congo? Without the minerals from the Congo we would be hooped!

The Congo is considered hell on earth because of what is happening right now. Did you know rape in the Congo is used as a weapon? Children are taken away from families and taken to be child soldiers. 50% of the population die and that 50% are children under the age of 5. Around that percentage of population (50), that is how many are under the age of 18. Civilians are constently murdered at random by soldiers that are supposed to save them. Un top of that, the government is unstable. Why is this happening to the Congo when the Congo is supposed to be rich and the people benefiting from it?

Our project for the Congo is to spread the word about the Congo. Not very many people know about the Congo and what is happening. My group is creating a blog just for it. You should check it out! If you see nothing on it, we are working on it! Oh, also try checking out my social teachers blog!

Please spread the word about the Congo! You could make a difference!! :D
