Title: Sugar Sugar Rune, シュガシュガルーン, Shuga Shuga Rūn
Author: Moyoco Anno
Genres: Romance, Comedy, Fantasy, Magical Girl, School life, Supernatural
Reading Direction: Right to Left
Age Rating: 13+ Teen
Status: Completed

Summary: Two witches named Chocolat and Vanilla are best friends. But they are totally different in every way! Chocolat is a total Tomboy and loud. Vanilla on the other hand, is the shy quiet type and the daughter of the Queen of the Magic World. Funny thing is, Chocolat's mother and Vanilla's mother competed to become Queen of the Magic World. Now its their turn to compete for the crown. No matter what happens or who wins, Chocolat and Vanilla vow to stay friends.

The competition works like this: Chocolat and Vanilla are sent to the Human world. The main point is to see who will get the most boys to fall in love with them and steal their hearts through magic. Each heart is worth an Ecure, the currency in the Magic World. There are different color hearts so different amounts of Ecure's they get. The witch that has the most Ecure wins!

However, boys in the Human world seem to fall in love with the quiet and shy Vanilla faster than Chocolat. Is Chocolat going to lose that easily?

Interesting piece of information of the day: Humans in the Human world have more than one heart. On the other hand, Witches only have one. If a Witch falls in love and is taken- the witch will die.

This manga is full of fun and cuteness. It shows the real meaning of friendship. The story is pretty predictable but different. I love the witch thing! I'm sorry, I'm a pretty simple person and most magical girl manga's/anime's make me happy and I enjoy it either way.

The art is great! Nothing to complain about! The guys are really hot!

Title: Lilpri!, Hime Chen! Otogi Chikku Idol Lilpri, ひめチェン!おとぎちっくアイドル リルぷりっ
Genres: Magical Girl, Shojo, Comedy
Reading Direction: Right to Left
Age Rating: All Ages
Status: Completed

Summary: Fairyland is suffering, the worlds of Kaguya-hime, Snow White, and Cinderella are slowly disappearing. Natsuki, Ringo, and Layla are three young girls have been asked to transform into the respective princesses and spread happiness amongst humankind in order to restore Fairyland. Once they transform they become a three girl idol pop group 'Lilpri' (Little Princess) which spreads happiness through song.

I don't care what people think, I really enjoyed this anime! The characters are really cute and their songs are pretty catchy!!

The story is pretty neat. It reminds me of my childhood when I used to love Barbie and Snow white.

The art is just soooooooooooooo cute!!! Argh! I want to draw like that!!

Title: Saint Tail, 怪盗セイント・テール, Kaitō Seinto Tēru
Author: Megumi Tachikawa
Genres: Romance, Comedy, Shojo, Magical Girl, Romance
Reading Direction: Right to Left
Age Rating: 13+ Teen
Status: Completed

Summary: 14 year old Meimi Haneoka is a girl who transforms into a theif at night but is a normal girl during the day. She is like a modern day Robin Hood- stealing things from theives and returns the items back to their original owners. She gets help from her friend and nun-in-training, Seira Mimori and is chased by her classmate (of course a soon to be love interest), Daiki Asuka also called Asuka Jr.

Well techincally Saint tail is not a Magical Girl but it kinda seems like it. Meimi uses magic tricks instead of actual magic magic. Its something new and the creator pulled it off. I think its pretty cool.

The storyline does kinda remind me of Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne since Meimi is a theif and all. Also the person in charge is a guy but in Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne is Maron's best friend, Miyako. Close enough. Another different thing is, Meimi steals things to give them back to their rightful owner. In Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Maron steals things because the item causes people to become bad. I know my words are pretty childish but I can't find the words to put.

I love the art! Nuff said. LOL :D

Title: Shojo Tenshi Milcute
Author: Kikuta Michiyo (Creator of Mamotte Lolipop)
Genres: Romance, Magical Girl, Fantasy, Shojo, Comedy, Supernatural, Drama
Reading Direction: Right to Left
Age Rating: 13+ Teen
Status: Completed (Maybe on hold)

Summary: 5 years ago, Miu's father gave her a box, then left. Apparently the box is locked and he has the key with him. On her birthday he sends the key. Miu opens the box to find a Magical girl transformation device. Miu finds out that there is war between Heaven and Hell for like, ever. Miu's job is to transform into Shojo Tenshi Milcute and find the "Heart of God" to stop the fighting once and for all.

However, its forbidden when an Angel falls in love with a Devil. Of course she does. What will happen to her?

I love the storyline! I know its always the same but......I still love it! The angel and devil thing....I still enjoy it! Its predictable but hey, its a magical girl! What do you expect?

The art is sooo cute! The guys are hot...hehe :D

Title: Ultra Maniac
Author: Yoshizumi Wataru (Creator of Marmalade Boy!)
Genres: Comedy, Magical Girl, Romance, Fantasy, School life, Shojo, Action, Drama
Reading Direction: Right to Left
Age Rating: 13+ Teen
Status: Completed

Summary: (mangafox.com) Shy Ayu Tateishi has just made a new friend at school. But this new friend, much to her surprise, is no ordinary classmate. Nina Sakura may look like a normal middle school girl, but she's got a big secret.

She's a witch. (Great)

Or, rather, she's studying to be a witch. And apparently, she's not doing her homework. Her spells are devastating in their ineffectiveness and often result in the most embarrassing situations for poor Ayu.
But things wouldn't be so bad if Nina's sorcery didn't make Ayu look silly in front of the one boy she secretly adores. All she wants is a simple love potion. What she gets, however, is a new best friend who almost flunked out of witch school!

The story line made me cry, angry, laugh and happy. I really love it! The art is ok but it is really cute! :D

You know what? This anime is close to unpredictable on my charts! I don't know what is going on and what would happen next. I love it! This is maybe the first manga/anime that I've read/watched that is  unpredictable! Yay! Something new! ^_^ Some parts are pretty predictable but........most are not!

The art is pretty good. Once again, the guys are really hot. Hahaha!

Title: Magical Girl Pretty Sammy, 魔法少女プリティサミー, Mahō Shōjo Puriti Samī
Genres: Magical Girl, Comedy, Romance, Shojo, Fantasy, Action
Age Rating: 13+ Teen
Status: Completed

Summary: (Its been awhile....so I got the summary from animenewsnetwork.com) Tsunami, one of the two candidates for the throne of the magic kingdom Juraihelm, is chosen to acsend the throne. Though to be queen, she has to pick an idol who can represent her. Rumiya, the other candidate, despises Tsunami, even though she acts as a friend to her. Rumiya thinks that she is superior to Tsunami and tries to foil Tsunami's crowning. Tsunami's chooses the earthling Sasami as her magical warrior to bring peace and love to earth. Rumiya uses Sasami's introverted friend, Misao, and turns her into the wild warrior, Pixy Misa. Pixyy Misa causes mayhem on earth, while Sasami does not want to except the reality of magic.

This anime is pretty old but it doesn't bother me! Anyways, this anime uses many characters from the anime/manga Techi Muyo! I haven't actually watched or read Techi Muyo so don't ask my how the characters in Magical Girl Pretty Sammy.

The storyline is pretty new to me but as always, predictable. There is always a bad guy or a hot guy at least. The characters kinda remind me of some of the characters from Sailor moon.

The art is pretty good considering its from a long time ago. I think most of the art styles now, came from anime's and manga's like this one from a long time ago. If you look closely and compare, I totally think so.

Title: Magic Knight Rayearth, 魔法騎士レイアース, Mahō Kishi Reiāsu
Author: CLAMP
Genres: Adventure, Action, Romance, Comedy, Mecha, Magical Girl, Fantasy, Shojo, Drama

All of a sudden they are blinded by a light and hear a voice calling for the Legendary Magic Knights to save Cephiro. They fall from the sky into another world called Cephiro. The girls meet a guy named Clef who appears to be a Mage.

What is going on?!? This other world......is this a dream??? Why are they calling us the Legendary Magic Knights?

I'm extremely happy that Dark Horse Comics took over for publishing the manga. Tokyopop somehow lost the publishing liscense for Magic Knight Rayearth. I want to buy the volumes.....the manga is soo good! :D

The art is just utterly beautiful! As expected from CLAMP! I love the story! I never get tired of it! Full of action and adventure! Another masterpiece by CLAMP!

Mangaka Pink Hanamori~!!

Well I haven't posted anything about my (maybe) second favorite mangaka! Pink Hanamori!! 花森 ぴんく, Hanamori Pinku was born on November 5, 1977 in Shizuoka Japan. I love her art!!! It is overly cute and totally awesome!! I fell in love with her art right away!!! I really don't like many shojo styles sometimes but Hanamori-sensei's looks really intriguing, innocent and really really really really cute!!! ARGH! I really really want to try to draw like her.......I love the way she draws her guys.......they are totally hot~!!!

Her stories are pretty predictable but really cute. I'm a total sucker for her manga. She is most known for illustrating the manga Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch written by Michiko Yokote which was made into an anime. Did you know that she worked as an assistant for Kikuta Michiyo (Mamotte! Lollipop) for a time?

Anyways, I'm a total fan of Pink Hanamori. I've read all of her manga even oneshots! Should I also post a manga recommendation on them too? Maybe later.....

Title: Yume Yume Yu Yu, ゆめゆめ☆ゆうゆう Yume Yume☆Yū Yū

One day Yume was dozing off during class and had a strange dream of a young Miko. Yume suddenly wakes up with a mirror in her hand. She soon finds out that the mirror is a portal to a different world. She sees a red haired boy (he is really hot.......I want him!) named Rekka, chasing a unicorn. Who are they? Is this real?? But.......why did Yume become the new Miko?! How?!

This manga is really cute and love the guys Hanamori-sensei creates!! I practically drool when I see them in this manga.........Sigh.....if only they were real. I really need a life. LOL :D

Title: Sapphire: Ribon no Kishi

This manga is really cute!! I love it!! I think this my favorite manga illustrated by Pink Hanamori.......I just love the art!!!!! The colors, the boys, hair and eyes, nice, swift and beautiful lines.......I just love it!!! (Sorry....I'm getting too weird now) I was quite happy that they decided to re-create Tezuka Osamu's Ribon no Kishi (Ribbon Knight). I'm sorry but I can't stand to watch something really old....I'm sorry! I'm a total art person and I often like to judge the art. If I watched something from a long ago then I would go on a frenzy. So yeah.....^_^

Title: My Fiance is a Monster?!
Author: Pink Hanamori
Genres: Romance, Fantasy, Comedy, Harem, Shojo, Supernatural

Rauto gives her a special necklace and she suddenly transforms and knocks out an evil monster who possesses a girl! What's going on? Becoming Rauto's maid and fiancé? "I'll knock out everyone's heart."

This manga is really funny and cute!!! The art at this point has gotten better, well not like it wasn't at the start but it really improved.......I'm just saying. But my only problem is that the story kinda goes a little fast but thats just me. Also the dang chapters aren't coming out faster!!! Dang it!!

You also have to check out Mermaid Melody!

Fairy Navigator Runa and Mamotte! Lolipop

Another Manga Recommendation.........I have a different story with this one.....appartently it was a brithday present that I got today from my friend Jenny. My birthday was last month and she apparently lost it in her closet. She finally found it underneath a pile of old clothes. It was very very funny and I was happy that she found it! Before she lost it she had some trouble of trying to find me what manga to buy me at the bookstore. So she asked a group of people that looked gothic of what book to buy or that I might like or might not have (I know too many manga's and I don't have that many manga's) Its actually quite funny. She was worried that I have already read it (to tell you the truth I've heard it but never read it yet until today) or already had it (which I don't but now I do!) So thats my story of how I got to know Fairy Navigator Runa but I bet you don't really care so here is some information about it! ^0^

Title: Fairy Navigator Runa
Author: Miyoko Ikeda
Artist: Michiyo Kikuta
Genre: Romance, Adventure, Fantasy
Age Rating: 13+

Summary: An ophaned girl named Runa Rindo was left in front of a school with only a wooden box and a pendent when she was a baby. Now in the forth grade and strange things start to happen.

I personally think that this manga is very great! This manga is mainly aimed at younger girls because I can just tell that the art is shoujo meaning it is sorta bubbly and cute. I really want to get the second book now! The illustrations are done by Michiyo Kikuta who is also known for doing a manga called Mamotte! Lolipop. It has been turned into an anime and quite popular! I know it has its cheesy parts and yeah can be for younger audiences but I really love it!

Author: Michiyo Kikuta
Genres: Romance, Fantasy, Adventure, Comedy, School Life
Age Rating: 13+

Summary: Nina "accidentally" swallows the crystal pearl that is needed for an sorcery exam. Since she swallowed the crystal pearl by accident...she is now the target for all of the sorcerers that is taking part in the exam. Apparently due to this turns of events she is now protected by two wizard boys. One is named Zero and the other is named Ichii. They will protect her until the potion is complete. Apparently the potion takes 6 months to complete so in the end Zero and Ichii follow her around, at school and home.
I can't believe it finished!......Wait!!! There is a sequel!!! If you want to know it is called Madotte! Mamotte! Lolipop! by Michiyo Kikuta. I was soo happy when I found out there was a sequel! I'm sorry, I am a sucker for Shojo manga's......Why did Shojo beat have to stop being made?!? It was the best Shojo manga magazine ever!!!

Arigatou!!
