Old Magical Girls and Others

Sigh, my spring break is almost coming to an end! I still have tons of homework and I have to go to Toronto on Wednesday.......great, I'm going to miss school! I hate missing school! That means I won't be able to exempt exams and I have more homework which means more stress for me! ARGH!

Since it is Spring break, I have been staying up late for the past couple days and it's really bad for me. But I have been watching alot of older animes lately because I felt like it. Man, they brought tons of memories back and I could see where most of the magical girl animes today got their ideas twisted with their own uniqueness.

Kanō-senpai tells her that he is really named Kanon, and he comes from the planet Queen Earth, which has been overrun by the evil organization Dark Joker. Dark Joker has poisoned that world, and so he was sent to find the legendary Nurse Angel, who would save both Earth and Queen Earth from destruction by finding Flower of Life (命の花 Inochi no Hana). With help from Kanō-senpai and her friend and neighbor Seiya Uzaki, she soon learns to fight as Nurse Angel to protect her friends

This anime just brings back memories. I love the storyline! It's so interesting yet so typical. Lot's of old magical girls always had their typical heroine.

Author: Anzu Yoshimura and (Art) Yayoi Nakano
Genres: Gender Bender, Comedy, Romance, Shojo, School life

Summary: (Wiki) Nagisa Shiratori is the heir to a judo training hall that has fallen on such hard times that their only pupils are animals from a nearby wildlife park. In a desperate bit to save her heritage, she reveals that she is going to go out into the world as an idol singer and find "strong men" to join her school. The first part of her plan succeeds beyond her wildest dreams: she is almost instantly elevated to the status of Japan's top idol despite an utter lack of anything even remotely resembling musical talent. Yet this dooms the second part of her plan, because her fame and schedule prevent her from finding the disciples she seeks.

So Nagisa horrifies her manager by chopping off her trademark pigtails and enrolling at one of the worst schools in Tokyo as a boy, under her given name of Nagisa Ootori (Shiratori is a stage name). There she runs into the toughest gang at the school, and after she soundly beats them they (believing her to be a man) recruit her to help them confront a gang from a rival school. Unfortunately, when she sees the leader of the rival gang, a handsome boy named Nosaka-kun, she instantly falls madly in love with him. Before the fight can begin, Nagisa is whisked away to a record signing, where she encounters Nosaka again, who is so utterly smitten with Nagisa Shiratori that he proposes marriage on the spot.

The next day the disguised Nagisa fights an inconclusive duel with Nosaka that ends in a stalemate, and with Nosaka declaring her a worthy foe he looks forward to fighting again. He later reveals to the female Nagisa that he too in on a quest to recruit disciples for a failing martial arts school, and is meeting with a similar lack of success. The next day, in their final confrontation, Nosaka discovers Nagisa's secret due to an ill-placed grab maneuver. Delaring he would rather love Nagisa than fight her, he agrees to keep her secret and they run off, with the school toughs and both their disapproving fathers in hot pursuit.

After that, Nagisa continues her double life, showing up at school some of the time when her manager cannot force her to attend to her idol responsibilities. Meanwhile, the world she lives in gets weirder and weirder, as more and more bizarre things happen in her proximity.

Haha! This is the first old anime that I've found that has gender bender in it! It makes me soo happy! The art is pretty typical for an old anime so I won't judge it. I'll just say it's really pretty and the guys aren't that bad looking. The storyline is pretty funny and I couldn't help but chuckle a bit when Nosoka proposes to Nagisa. I really thought, "Typical" and went on. Still, I enjoyed this anime very much!

Beauty Pop Wallpaper

I'm in love with this anime! I have been waiting for this anime to be subbed because it's so old! I don't care if this anime is old, it's amazing! It's a true classic! Kiyoko Arai is just amazing! While wandering around the city as a teenager, she accidentally ends up on TV and asked to sing, which the magic enables her to do remarkably well. Using the alias of Creamy Mami, she becomes an overnight success, and is soon sought to begin a professional career as an idol under Parthenon Productions. Along the way, she also meets past residents of Feather Star and supernatural beings. In addition, she must fight against Snake Joe, a shady character of the rival LP Productions, who is always trying to steal her away and Megumi-chan, another one of Parthenon Productions' top stars.

Magical Angel Creamy Mami, influenced a whole bunch of popluar animes today. Arina Tanemura's popular, Full Moon wo Sagashite was influenced by using the age transformation in order to become an idol and other animes. I believe this anime is just amazing except for the fact the beginning of the anime freaked me out with their weird alien ship but other than that, I loved the anime very much! It made me want to watch all of the Magical Girl animes!

Man, I used to watch this when I was a kid! It's so cute and I love the relationship between the twins so much. The storyline is so awesome! I can't explain it! It feels nostalgic when I watched the anime.

You know, I watched this anime for one reason, Zero. I saw him in several amv's on youtube and wanted to see him in action. He is soo freaking hot! > x <

Well, the anime was a bit rushed and I had no idea was going on. Slowly I got used to it and I slowly grasped the storyline. The art is amazing and just takes my breath away everytime.
